How do I book?

Find a property you would like to book, check availability by clicking the CHECK AVAILABILITY button. (Please note, while we endeavour to ensure that our calendars accurately reflect the availability status of your chosen property, please do not book any flights until we have confirmed that your chosen property is definitely available).

Once you have checked availability and submitted your request to book, we will get back to you to confirm availability and pricing as soon as we can.

Once we have confirmed the availability of your chosen accommodation with you and you wish to proceed with a definite booking, we will ask you to complete our online booking form. We will then email you a summary of your reservation that will confirm the payment details. A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total cost of your booking will secure the property for your chosen dates.

The final balance will be due no later than 8 weeks prior to your arrival at the property along with payment of your refundable damage deposit. (Amount will vary depending on the property booked).

Can you put my chosen dates on hold?

Yes, we can usually put your dates on hold for 24-48 hours to enable you to book your flights and liaise with the other members of your group.

Do you have set changeover days?

Some properties have set changeover days – the most common being Monday and Saturday. Other owners have not set changeover days. We try to be as flexible as possible depending on the property, the time of year and how your proposed dates fit in with existing bookings. Please contact us if you need to check the changeover days for the property you want to book and we will be happy to advise and help.

How can I pay for my holiday?

Payments are accepted via Direct Bank Transfer into our UK bank account, or by Credit Card

Please note that credit card payments incur a small charge of 2% charge as per our provider (this is to cover processing fees and exchange rate differences) Should you wish to make a payment by credit, we will need to email you a secure payment link (please note, we are not able to take credit card payments over the phone)

What’s included in the price I’m paying?

The villa and apartment prices displayed on this website are the cost for the property accommodation only with its facilities and utilities, based on the maximum occupancy level. Cleaning and laundry post your departure are normally included. A mid stay clean may also be arranged during your stay, depending on the length of the latter. You may choose to pay for extra services at the property (if available) – please refer to the ‘Extras’ section under the property listing. Airport transfers are not included in the accommodation price (we will be happy to arrange these for you if required)

Do I have to pay a security deposit?

We ask for a security deposit for all bookings (the amount will vary according to the size of the property) This is added to your final balance payment and is payable to us at the same time. The security deposit will be refunded to you within 10 days of your departure, subject to no damage to the property or its contents (Please report any breakages or other damage to the property manager so that replacements or repairs can be arranged in time for the next guests’ arrival)

Can I have a late checkout?

The check-out time for most properties is 10AM on your departure day. Later checkouts cannot be guaranteed, therefore If you wish to stay on in your property after this time, you should book an extra. Any extra time in the property after the departure time must be agreed with the property owner. We are always happy to discuss later departures with the owner, but please bear in mind that the checkout time is designed to allow enough time for the turnaround of the property to make it ready for guests arriving the same day. If you have a late flight, it may be possible to check into a local hotel at a day rate. Some beach clubs will also let you leave your luggage there if you are paying to use their facilities. There is also a local bag drop service in Kalkan. We will be happy to help with suggestions and to put you in touch with any of these facilities.

PASSPORTS, VISAS AND HEALTHCARE

If you hold a UK passport, you do not need a Visa in order to enter Turkey. Please make sure that our passport is valid for a MINIMUM PERIOD OF 6 MONTHS from the date of entry into Turkey. If it is not, you may be refused entry onto your flight, or into Turkey

TRAVEL INSURANCE

We strongly recommend that you take out adequate travel insurance with a suitable provider at the time of booking to cover yourself should you have to cancel your holiday, also to ensure that you have adequate medical and other cover whilst you are in Kalkan.

NEAREST AIRPORTS

The nearest airport to Kalkan is Dalaman (approx. 1.5 hours’ drive) You can also fly into Antalya airport, which is a little further away (approx. 3.5 hours’ drive)

AIRPORT TRANSFERS

We offer airport transfer services via our transfer partners, who are one of Kalkan’s largest and most experienced providers. Our transfer partners are professional, reliable, and – importantly! – all vehicles and drivers are fully insured (our transfer partners are also accredited to TURSAB, a legal requirement for transfer providers in Turkey)

All transfers are in a private, air-conditioned vehicle. Using our service makes access and departure from the property a smooth and easy process, as the driver will know the exact location of your property and will take you straight to the door.

Baby and child booster seats can be provided in your transfer vehicle at an additional cost.

We prefer to book airport transfers for all of our guests and will assume we will do this unless you specify otherwise on your booking form/by email

What are the usual check-in and check-out times at your villas and apartments?

Check in on your arrival day is after 16.00. Check out on departure day is by 10.00

 

Do you provide pool / beach towels?

Most of our owners provide pool and/or beach towels. If they do, this will be listed on the amenities section for that property. Please contact us if you need more information.

 

Will a welcome pack be provided for me on arrival?

Please refer to the ‘Amenities’ section on the individual property listing, as this is not standard for all our properties. In most cases, though, a basic welcome pack will be provided for your arrival.

 

Will we be met upon our arrival at our accommodation?

Depending on the property and time of arrival, you may be met by a member of the property’s management team who will help you access the property. However, most of our properties use a key safe system for self-entry on arrival. This information will be given to you as part of the pre- arrival information notes we will send to you approx. two weeks before your arrival date.

 

Who do I contact if I have any problems during my stay?

We will send you the contact details for the property manager responsible for your villa/apartment as part of your pre-arrival information. If you have any problems at the property during your stay, they should be your first port of call.

Can you provide equipment for young children / babies?

Some of our properties have cots and highchairs for guests’ use, but the majority do not. Highchairs and travel cots can be hired for an additional weekly charge.

In addition, if you are using our airport transfer service, baby and booster seats can be provided, at an extra cost.

 

What currency should I take to Kalkan?

Cash – we recommend that you take some cash in sterling and then change your money when you are in Kalkan, as you will generally get a better rate of exchange than in the UK. There are numerous places in the town that will change money – banks, money exchange counters, and also some of the shops in the Old Town will also change money for you.

 

ATMS – there are also numerous ATM machines where you can withdraw Turkish Lira in Kalkan using your own bank cards, however, please be aware that charges may apply with your bank, so check these before you travel.

Card payments – you can pay by credit or debit card in most restaurants and shops in the town

 

What happens if I need medical attention on holiday?

There are several English-speaking doctors in Kalkan, if you need assistance from one of them, please contact the property manager for help with this.

Please note that you will need to pay for a consultation and any medical treatment needed as health care in Turkey is not covered under the E111 as in the European Union and private health cover is necessary. It is therefore very important that you have adequate insurance cover in place before
